Platforms like X and LinkedIn don't give you bold or italic. UniStyle gets around that by converting your text into Unicode characters that already look styled - so the formatting survives a copy-paste anywhere plain text goes.

What it does

  • 20+ styles - bold, italic, script, monospace, small caps, bubbles, and more.
  • Paste-ready output for X, Discord, Slack, Notion, LinkedIn, and bios.
  • Runs as a web app at unistyle.io or as a Chrome extension for one-click access while you type.
  • Everything happens in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
  • Free to use.

Who it's for

Anyone who writes where formatting is locked: posting threads on X, headers in a Discord server, standing out in a LinkedIn headline, or labeling sections in a Notion doc. If you've ever wanted bold text where the box won't let you, this is that.

Status

Live and maintained. UniStyle is the most-used tool under Build with Baker and gets ongoing updates. Found a style that doesn't paste right somewhere? Tell me and I'll fix it.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes - completely free. If it saves you time you can drop a coffee on Ko-fi, but that's optional.

Does it send my text anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser - your text is never transmitted or stored. See the privacy policy for details.

Why does pasted text sometimes look plain?

A few apps strip or substitute fonts for certain Unicode ranges. Most styles work everywhere; if one doesn't survive in a specific app, try another style or let me know.
