About

Adam Baker

DevOps engineer. AI educator. Consultant. Based in Ashland, WI.

I'm a DevOps engineer who started building AI workflows because I needed them myself.

My day job is running IT and infrastructure at a small EdTech company. Security, systems, the technical operations that keep everything moving. It's a role that spans four jobs in one, which meant I needed every efficiency I could find. When AI tools got good enough to actually change how I worked, I started building workflows for myself. Then colleagues wanted them. Then strangers on the internet did.

That's how @BuildwithBaker happened. I post practical AI workflows on X every day, for knowledge workers who don't have time for hype. Accountants, project managers, HR professionals, consultants, teachers. People with real jobs who want AI to actually work for them, not just sound impressive in a meeting.

I also consult with small businesses across Ashland, Bayfield County, and the Northwoods on AI implementation. There's a gap between "I've heard AI can help" and "here's a workflow that saves you three hours a week." That gap is where I work. No dev background required on your end.

And I ship free tools. UniStyle is a Unicode text formatter that paste-converts into Discord, Notion, Slack, and X. Baker's Recipe List is my personal cooking site. Code lives on GitHub, and if a tool saves you time, you can drop a coffee on Ko-fi.

I live in Ashland, Wisconsin. Small town on Lake Superior that has no business being home to an AI educator, but here we are. Everything I build starts with the same question: can this actually help someone with a real job?
